Interior Designer – Entry Level

Education & Multifamily Projects | Early Career Opportunity

Are you a recent Interior Design graduate or emerging designer excited to bring your creativity into real-world projects? This Entry-Level Interior Designer role offers hands-on experience designing educational and multifamily environments, with exposure to the whole design process—from concept through construction.

You’ll work closely with experienced interior designers and architects, learning how thoughtful interior design supports functionality, durability, wellness, and long-term value in spaces used every day.


What You’ll Do

  • Support the design and documentation of education and multifamily interior environments

  • Assist with Revit-based drawings and digital models, learning firm standards and workflows

  • Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and consultant coordination

  • Help prepare presentations, graphics, renderings, and material boards

  • Assist with specifications and basic code research under senior guidance

  • Gain exposure to construction administration, including site visits, submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs

  • Research and help select finishes, furniture, fixtures, and interior products, considering durability, maintenance, sustainability, and wellness

  • Assist with casework and millwork detailing, finish coordination, and product evaluations

  • Communicate clearly with team members, consultants, clients, and vendor representatives

  • Manage tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain organized project files


What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or a related discipline

  • Working knowledge of Revit and interest in learning additional design tools

  • Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with solid organizational abilities

  • Collaborative mindset, reliability, and openness to feedback

  • Enthusiasm for learning, growing technical knowledge, and developing professionally

  • Ability to work within driving distance of New York State projects
