We are seeking an Interior Designer with 5+ years of experience who is passionate about sustainability and driven to create beautiful, functional spaces. The ideal candidate will push the boundaries of conventional design and have a personal connection to the values of holistic sustainability.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

As part of our education and multi-family housing studios, this Interior Designer will work collaboratively with the project team from the early stages of design through construction administration. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Interacting with clients and delivering presentations
  • Researching and selecting finishes and materials
  • Producing concept-level designs and space planning
  • Conducting product research
  • Designing furniture and casework
  • Writing specifications and coordinating with multiple disciplines
  • Creating construction documents
  • Administering construction and overseeing project implementation

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in interior design, especially in Higher Education, K-12 and multi-family housing projects
  • Proficiency in Revit, with the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
  • A keen aesthetic sense and an eye for detail
  • Collaborative work style and strong communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, organizational, and time-management skills
  • NCIDQ and LEED certifications, or intent to achieve them
  • Must be located within driving distance of our projects in Upstate/Central New York
