Landscape Architect / Project Manager
Location: Birmingham, AL

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Landscape Architect / Project Manager with strong residential design experience to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to take a leadership role in shaping luxury residential landscapes valued between $600,000 and $3 million. The ideal candidate is highly creative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and management of high-end residential projects, including multimillion-dollar gardens and large estate landscapes.
- Oversee all phases of the design process: conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Develop detailed landscape plans, grading, planting, drainage, and construction details.
- Create 3D models, renderings, and presentation graphics (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members.
- Manage project budgets, proposals, invoices, and schedules.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, contributing to the growth and development of the design team.
- Travel occasionally (every 2–3 weeks, typically not overnight) to project sites across the Southeast.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Landscape Architect license preferred but not required.
- 5–10 years of professional experience, ideally with high-end residential projects.
- Strong design and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp; experience with Land F/X is a plus.
- Strong hand graphics and rendering skills are desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Southeastern U.S. plant material and construction methods preferred.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $95K – $120K, commensurate with experience.
