An award-winning company located in Miami, Florida, with unique projects, is seeking a highly skilled Architect Project Manager with experience in high-rise mixed-use projects to join our professional organization dedicated to architecture, planning, and interior design. Our principals have a combined total of 65 years of architectural experience and have served as architects and designers for a wide variety of project types. We seek a motivated professional with substantial project management experience to lead and work integrally with our project-focused teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating a team effort to complete projects promptly and successfully.
  • Overseeing the development of the architectural design and the production of the construction documents, including specifications.
  • Coordinating clients’ needs, support staff, and outside consultants such as structural, civil, and mechanical engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects.
  • Managing the design process from conception to construction administration to ensure consistency of design intent.
  • Ensuring compliance of construction detail documentation to quality control and best practices.
  • Maintaining client communications and relationships.
  • Performing project research.
  • Conducting minor modifications to complete working drawing sets.
  • Reviewing the accuracy of calculations, estimates, plans, and completed reports.
  • Contracting municipal building department and government agency officials to assist with project approvals.
  • Interacting with building officials during project permitting and construction phases.
  • Engaging in team meetings to resolve project issues and maintain adherence to technical requirements.
  • Monitoring preparation of technical drawings prepared by less senior staff.
  • Attending field reviews, on-site meetings, and project meetings.
  • Reviewing shop drawings.
  • Drafting observation reports during project close-out efforts.
  • Completing incidental work or other office functions necessary to complete projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven related work experience, especially with multifamily and mixed-use buildings.
  • Solid written, graphic, and verbal communication skills.
  • High-level CAD skills. Revit is a plus.
  • Customer service attitude.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
