This Architecture Firm is seeking a motivated Architectural Designer with 3–5 years of experience to join our K–12 Education Studio. This role offers the opportunity to work on public school projects across New York State, gaining hands-on experience navigating NYSED submissions, educational standards, and construction administration within a collaborative, supportive environment.
This position is ideal for a designer ready to move beyond entry-level responsibilities—someone eager to take ownership of defined project components while continuing to grow technically and professionally under experienced leadership.
What You’ll Do
Produce and coordinate high-quality Revit-based drawings, models, and technical details in alignment with firm standards
Participate in design development through construction administration on NYSED K–12 projects
Collaborate with project architects, consultants, and internal teams during design reviews and coordination meetings
Assist with code research, NYS Building Code compliance, and SED requirements, with mentorship from senior technical staff
Support the preparation of design presentations, graphics, and client deliverables
Participate in meetings with school districts, facilities directors, and construction managers
Support construction-phase services, including site visits, submittal and shop drawing review, and RFI responses
Maintain organized project documentation and produce clear, accurate meeting notes
Communicate professionally and effectively with team members and external partners
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited architecture program
3–5 years of professional architectural experience, preferably on educational or public-sector projects
Strong proficiency in Revit; familiarity with educational documentation workflows
Working knowledge of the NYS Building Code and NYSED submission process (or strong interest in developing this expertise)
Clear written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational abilities
Collaborative mindset and growing confidence working with consultants and client stakeholders
