Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership and Mentorship

• Champion the firm’s creative vision and ensure every project reflects our high standards of design excellence.
• Personally lead the design of select projects while mentoring and inspiring design teams.
• Act as a hands-on guide for project teams, advising on technical and artistic elements.

Studio Leadership and Management

• Cultivate a studio environment that values creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
• Oversee design deliverables, maintaining quality, clarity, and alignment with project goals.
• Develop and implement workflows, onboarding, and ongoing training programs for the team.

Business Strategy and Operations

• Manage studio operations, project schedules, and resource allocation to meet deadlines and revenue goals.
• Review contracts, timesheets, and billings to ensure accuracy and maximize opportunities for growth.
• Monitor and analyze business metrics to drive strategic decisions and maintain efficiency.

Business Development and Marketing

• Partner with the Owner/President to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Nurture relationships with existing and potential clients, jurisdictions, and collaborators.
• Spearhead efforts to elevate the firm’s reputation through award submissions, publications, and community engagement.

What We’re Looking For

• A Bachelor’s (or advanced) degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 15+ years of experience in a management or leadership role within a design firm.
• Proven expertise in design leadership, project management, and business operations.
• A licensed Landscape Architect; LEED AP certification preferred.
• A visionary mindset with a collaborative spirit and a passion for mentoring.
• Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate client and team relationships.
• A desire to drive innovation while maintaining a commitment to design excellence.
