Position Overview

We are seeking an Experienced Landscape Architect (4–10 years) to support and lead projects from concept through construction administration. This role offers increasing responsibility in design leadership, documentation, project management, and client interface.

You will collaborate closely with senior designers while developing growing independence in technical execution, consultant coordination, and client communication. This is an opportunity to work on prestigious residential and institutional projects in a firm that values thoughtful design, polished presentation, and long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and refine high-quality 2D and 3D graphics, construction drawings, and client presentations

  • Develop planting plans, grading plans, and construction documentation

  • Conduct site analysis, zoning research, and consultant coordination

  • Review and generate redlines and technical documentation

  • Support cost estimating and maintain organized project documentation

  • Manage task budgets, schedules, and workplans

  • Assist in managing client expectations and project communication

  • Present select project components to clients with oversight

  • Mentor junior staff and participate in collaborative team discussions

  • Stay current with industry trends and pursue licensure (support provided)


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture (ASLA-accredited preferred)

  • 4–10 years of professional landscape architecture experience

  • Strong experience in custom residential design (New England experience preferred)

  • Proficiency in:

    • AutoCAD

    • SketchUp and/or Lumion

    • Adobe Creative Suite

    • Microsoft Office & Excel

  • Expertise in at least one specialized design or visualization tool

  • Strong documentation and technical skills

  • Knowledge of New England plant palette (required)

  • Experience interfacing with high-end residential clients

  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

  • Professional polish and collaborative mindset
