Landscape Architect Design Build

Overview

Landscape design and construction company in Durham, NC, in business for over 30 years.  Specializing in Luxury residential landscape design and construction and service the Triangle and Wilmington, NC. They are expanding their Landscape Design & Estimating Department and require an additional Landscape Architect Designer/Estimator.

Seeking a responsible and organized individual who can work with deadlines and is proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino (or willing to learn Rhino3D), and Lumion (willing to train on this program). The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and will work well with the rest of our landscape designers and project managers. This is the perfect position for someone with a license in landscape architecture or who is about to become licensed. We are also open to hiring an experienced landscape designer with 4-10 years of experience.

Requirements:

Knowledge of landscape design and construction, including Southern plants, irrigation, hardscapes, and outdoor masonry.
Ability to work well with others with various personalities and interact with landscape designers.
Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines for client meetings and project start dates.
Great computer skills, including proficiency in CAD, the full Adobe Suite and Microsoft Suite. Must be comfortable with producing CDs and designing presentations.
Ability to grow within the company and become an integral part of the Design department.

Duties:

Responsible for each design, creating 2D and 3D designs for residential clients, including CAD revisions for plans and 3D renderings. The lead designer will oversee this position.
Estimate each design produced via an estimating system.
Create Construction Documents and plant and material lists for installation.
