Lighting Designer

Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lighting Designer to join our dynamic team in New York City. As a Lighting Designer-Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on award-winning, complex projects and collaborate with world-renowned architects and clients. Our team-oriented culture welcomes ideas and input from all staff members and is hands-on in the design process.

As a Lighting Designer, you will have a salary range of $65K-$78K, depending on your level of experience. With a degree in architecture, interior design, or lighting design, you will have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of architecture and the technical aspects of lighting fixtures and components. You must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, as you will serve as the primary communication link to clients, other sub-consultants, and reps.

You must be organized, detail-oriented, and have solid production skills. You must have the ability to manage multiple project schedules and deadlines, plan ahead, and manage your workloads. Sound knowledge of Rhino / Vray, 3D Studio MAX for rendering capabilities AutoCAD, AGI, Photoshop, InDesign, Bluebeam, REVIT, and Microsoft Office is required. A knowledge in 3D rendering software and/or daylighting software would be a huge plus.
