Confidential International Lighting Design Firm | New York, NY | Full-Time

An award-winning, highly collaborative, and creatively driven international architectural lighting design firm is seeking talented Lighting Designers and Senior Lighting Designers / Associate-level professionals to join its growing team.

We are looking for design-focused professionals who are passionate about light, architecture, and the creative process. Candidates should be highly organized, resourceful, conscientious, and detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Designers work closely with senior leadership, clients, and international design teams to deliver lighting concepts that reveal and enhance the aesthetic qualities of architecture and interior spaces.

Recent graduates with architectural lighting design internship experience are also encouraged to apply.

Senior Lighting Designer / Associate

We are seeking highly qualified Senior Designer / Associate-level candidates with experience managing project teams and coordinating with architects, clients, and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams on multiple international architectural lighting projects
• Participate in design work sessions to develop lighting concepts that enhance architectural and interior spaces
• Assist in developing lighting layouts, fixture specifications, and design documentation
• Conduct lighting research and contribute to technical detailing
• Produce and document lighting design through CAD drawings and technical documentation
• Prepare lighting fixture schedules and lighting control specifications
• Participate in on-site fixture aiming and lighting control programming during project implementation


Technical Skills & Software

Candidates should have experience or working knowledge of:

• AutoCAD
• 3D modeling software (Revit, Rhino, or similar)
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
• MS Office and Google Workspace
• Lighting calculation software such as AGI or Dialux
• Physical model making

You will also learn and apply internal design and documentation standards across drawings, presentations, and project documentation.
