We seek a seasoned Project Architect, RA, to lead diverse projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Join a leading Architecture and urban planning firm pioneering the New Urbanism Movement. Role Summary:
As a Project Architect, you will work closely with partners and Senior Managers, overseeing project production and coordination from inception to completion.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture
- Licensed Architect (preferred)
- 10+ years of architectural experience
- Extensive project management expertise across various project types
- Strong knowledge of the Florida Building Code (FBC)
- Proficiency in REVIT for overseeing building permit production
- Experience with projects reflecting the historic charm of the Southern Carolinas
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend bi-weekly project meetings and serve as the client liaison
- Conduct zoning and building code analysis
- Create 3-D models from hand sketches or CAD drawings
- Lead projects from schematic design to building permits
- Perform code research and product identification
- Coordinate with project consultants and manage REVIT models
- Oversee the building permit process and attend construction meetings
- Provide regular project progress updates to partners
- Utilize software tools such as REVIT, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Manage projects using Smartsheet, Procore, Timesheet, and Excel
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support projects from design inception through construction completion
- Execute design tasks and architectural detailing
- Produce schematic, design development, and construction documents
- Collaborate with the department director and designers to make critical project decisions
- Lead project teams and coordinate documentation
- Perform construction administration duties, including responding to RFIs, RFPs, and change orders
- Provide feedback and mentorship to ensure project success
- Ensure projects meet budget and schedule constraints
- Coordinate with internal and external consultants for seamless project delivery
